God moves so powerfully when we are obedient to His calling. I give praise to God for prompting Pastor Stone to have the courage to challenge us as a congregation to give by faith. God reminded me of the great importance of being still in His presence so I, too may clearly hear Him speak.
As I prayed, God brought Ephesians 2:10 to mind:
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
There is nothing more exciting than to watch the body of Christ walk in obedience to the good things that He calls us to do. I thank Pastor Stone for his example of obedience and give praises to our great God!

Give everything to Him. Spend time each day in the Bible and also in prayer. Thanks and gratitude fills my heart for the leadership of GCCC, the volunteers, and our congregation. I believe God has many blessings for the community of Ginger Creek. My time in prayer revealed a very powerful presence of God's hand over our church.

I apologize for misquoting the verse from Zephaniah. Here's how it really goes: "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing" Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV).

Two thoughts came to mind as I finished my time praying for Ginger Creek just now. First, how amazing would God's work be in our congregation and community (and dare I say it, world?), if we engaged in purposeful prayer like this every week-end? Second, one of my favorite verses came to mind at the end of my prayer time: "The Lord your God is with you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17. Our God is with us, Ginger Creek, and He rejoices when we come to him. He is the author and perfecter of our faith, and because He has plans to prosper us, we can be sure He will lead us to victory when our actions glorify Him. I am eager to see his answer to our prayers. (If only we could hear His singing when the shipments from Feed My Starving Children arrive!) Also, I would like to say "thank you" to the leadership at Ginger Creek for giving us this opportunity to tangibly support your work and the work of our church as a whole.
